Yes, it’s that special time of year when you go gift shopping crazy and pack a million ‘catch ups’ into a very small amount of time because hey! It’s Christmas!

As a tragic fashionista, one of my biggest stresses is to have enough outfits for all the seasonal socialising. Never wanting to be spotted twice in the same ensemble, it’s important to have six or so favourite pieces you can mix and match. But of course, not all clothes will be appropriate for all occasions.
Your faded denim shorts for casual afternoon beers will not cut it for a nice dinner with Grandparents. But we all like to look nice for special get togethers, so here is my guide to dressing for the festive season…

Whether it’s for New Years, work drinks or a Christmas Eve party, something sparkly and pretty will set the tone for a very merry Christmas. Red lipstick

It’s a bit retro, but totally sexy. A rouge pout for Christmas is a great way of perking up a tired face and creates a merry and cheerful appearance. If you can’t bring yourself to wear a snowman jumper, red lip stick is perfect. Bring on the mistletoe!

Here are the TOP TEN Fashion Mistakes according to Fashion Pshychologists..
Ya, that's right its your moment of truth..

The doctor is in... your closet! (seriously.. ignore the bad jokes.. but not the post :P)

AGE:
1. Too young: Aging can involve a grieving of your former young self, part of this grief process includes DENIAL. Move toward acceptance and act your age.
This includes throwing away Seventeen magazines when you are forty, staying out of stores that serve as hangouts for the local middle schoolers, using crazy patterns and cutesy colors sparingly, lowering the hem of your skirt and pant, and raising the décolletage line of your dress or shirt. If you are wearing the same clothing as your daughter you may need to seek professional fashion help!

2. Too old: Nothing is more depressing than seeing a bright young thing dressing like Marian, Madam Librarian. The way to keep a wardrobe fresh is to purge the items that have come around a second time and get the new and improved versions of them. Open up the spaces of the body which includes wider leg trousers and v-necks. Keep the classics but spice them up with an appropriate trend for your age, which could include a change of a shoe or bag. Identify your assets and bring attention to them with your clothing and accessories.

BODY:
3. Too tight: Shrink wrapping yourself into your clothing will not fool anyone. You will not look a size smaller, but in fact make yourself look even larger. Keep casings for your sausages! If you see a pull, stretch, rip, or strain do not buy or wear the item. Sizes are not standardized in the everywhere, so a size 2 may be a size 10 in another store or even within a designer's line. Ignore the number. It does not measure your worth! Just find the right size.

4. Too loose: Would you put a sack over the Mona Lisa?
Then why in the world would you wrap yourself in an oversized garment? Do not hide from the world. Find outfits that fit you properly, which means fitting the largest part of your body and tailoring the rest if necessary. If it is comfort you seek, there are other alternatives to the over sized sweater or stirrup pant. Try a great wrap dress or jean. Trust me they can compete with your ratty sweatshirt any day of the week!

LIFESTYLE:
5. Too safe: Just because your life consists of staying at home to take care of your children or sitting in an office all day does not mean you can't buy an outfit that is an outlier. A statistical outlier is that data that lies beyond the norm. If you fashion norm would only include jeans and a t-shirt buy an outlier, like a cocktail dress. If your fashion norm would only include a suit, buy a cashmere lounge set. These outlier garments are great ways to try new things and think out of your box!

6. Too out there: If you still have your maternity clothes and you have just gone through menopause your wardrobe no longer serves a function. If you haven't seen snow in years and your closet is crammed with ski gear and winter wear, your closet wants its space back. You wardrobe should be useable. If the items in the closet don't match your life, and you are finding you have "nothing to wear". Find out what your life requires of you and get the wardrobe to match.

COMFORT:
7. Too casual: Are you oriented times four? In psych terms, that means oriented to time, place, person, and situation. Your outfit should reflect your orientation to who you are, where you are, when you are, and what you are doing. Wearing a ripped leather mini and bikini top when you are an octogenarian senior executive (who) raising money for a conservative initiative (what) in a church (where) during the dead of winter (when) may land you in a psych ward!

8. Too formal: All dressed up and nowhere to go doesn't make wearing sequins to a camping trip appropriate. A bit hyperbolic but true. If you are bracing the elements, such as skiing, biking, hiking, working out, or sailing, keep it simple with activity and weather appropriate ensembles. Remember your clothing will get dirty. Looking high maintenance is not attractive and using clothes that are too formal for an occasion can translate that message loud and clear. Your outfit should fit the occasion (see #7). If you seem to overdress add sparkle sparingly and think separates. A pair of jeans can look great with a white tank and sequin boyfriend blazer or jeweled platform pumps. If you look completely overdressed, just remove the "too formal" item.

IDENTITY:
9. Too predictable: I won't mention any names but there are some celebs out there who can have their heads chopped off, and you know who they are by the outfit. Wearing the same thing over and over again, even in different colors, can be bland. How would you like to eat the same meal every day? Be a feast for the eyes and change it up a bit. Avoid the temptation to get the same garment in different colors. Pick up the wardrobe item that makes your heart race a little because it is a "risky" piece. Start small by changing a shoe or accessory and then move to larger clothing items.

10. Too away from self: Trying too hard to be anyone but you often leads to fashion horrors. Clothing should enhance who you are not render you unrecognizable. If you can't find your fashion identity look at design elements of other items you like such as décor, photographs, paintings, and sculptures. Use these colors, patterns, and forms in your wardrobe.

In the past decade, Indian films have been increasingly associated with the fashion industry.
Now, comes Aisha - an Indian movie that promises to give glimpses of high street fashion in India and set a benchmark for Bollywood.

Budgeting 20 crore rupees the movie features brands like DLF Emporio, L’Oreal Paris and Portico...le sigh!.. .
the Dior association is visibly the strongest.

Its been said that the tie ups with the fashion brands took almost six months to work out before and during the scripting stage. Both Portico and L’Oreal have a number of TV commercials lined up that uses imaging from the film to promote their products. .. looks like Bollywood has a far wider impact and reach than anticipated before.

ICE THE FROST "I’d like to see the end of the frosty trend. I think frost, as a rule, should be avoided. So if you’ve got a frosty pink gloss or a frosty nail polish – not that there’s not an exception to the rule once in a while – but in general they aren’t flattering and they’re kind of dated looking to me. Let your nail vanish dry properly. Give time for each layer to dry to ensure a lasting finish.

You can match your nail colour with your apparel or lip colour to give a complete co-ordinated look.

Make sure each coat is dry before applying the next. Never mix colours together before application since it can give a messy look to your nails.

Don't let your limited budget limit your style. There a quite are few things you can do to keep your look fresh even when you need to be wise with your wardrobe dollars.

Here's how :

1. Wear more color

A great way to liven up your look is to incorporate more color into your wardrobe. Perhaps this is just a matter of wearing a brightly colored t-shirt under a v-neck sweater, or sporting a new shirt or sweater. Adding color will liven up otherwise dull neutral tones. But the most important thing is to wear color near your face since that is where it will have the most impact and keep you from looking washed out.

Note: Whether you are on a budget or not, shopping sales is just a smart thing to do. If you want to pick up a new shirt, sweater etc., you don't have to wait long for any number of retailers to have a sale. Just keep your eyes peeled.

2. Seek Out a New Pair of Glasses/Sunglasses

I have worn glasses since I was 2 years old. This is one area where I allow myself to spend a little money in order to get the best looking glasses I can find. After all, it’s my face! Glasses are a great way to express yourself too. The interesting thing about glasses is that you could simply be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but with the right glasses you suddenly look fashion savvy. Like me, you may want to have a couple of pair--one pair that is bold and one that is more subdued. This way you can match your glasses with your mood or outfit.

Note: If you don’t wear glasses, then make it sunglasses. Cool shades are always a good thing and we all know how they are one of the ultimate fashion accessories.

3. Treat Yourself to One or Two Super Pieces

If you can possibly afford it, I believe in buying one or two great pieces that will really keep you looking stylish. This may be a cool sport coat, a leather jacket or an awesome pair of jeans that really show off your assets. What ever it is, make sure it’s something that you know you will wear often and is flattering. I just bought a moleskin sport coat that was a bit expensive, but it looks great and I know I will get a lot of use out of it.

4. Sport a Snappy Belt

I also just bought a really cool belt with a big buckle that I know will be a show stopper. You may have noticed that recently elaborate belts with interesting buckles have become quite the fashion statement. And they can be quite inexpensive as well.

5. Avoid Tattered Looking Shoes

A tattered pair of shoes is always a turn off. I don’t care if you wear dress shoes or sneakers, keep ‘em looking their best. This may just mean getting a shoe shine or picking up a new pair altogether.

6. Get a Groovy watch

I have a friend who has a thing for watches. He likes to match them with what he is wearing, and he doesn’t spend a lot of money on them either. Since men don’t have many options when it comes to jewelry, this is a great way to express yourself as well as liven up your look.

Washout! Models go underwater for fashion shoot

Forget the catwalks and red carpets. At a recent show in Sydney, Australian models held their noses, and took runway fashion where it's never gone before -- to the bottom of a water tank.

With no catwalk in sight, nine sharply dressed models climbed up a ladder and plunged into a large tank of water in Australia's first public underwater fashion shoot, delighting tourists and passers-by in Sydney's picturesque Circular Quay.

Cosmopolitan magazine and Neutrogena skincare company sponsored the show. Why? "For fun," an organizer said.

"I felt sorry for the hair and makeup artists because they spent so long doing my hair and makeup and as soon as I got in it just washed away, but it's all fun", said Jaynie Seal, a television weather presenter who was part of the show, sponsored by women's magazine Cosmopolitan and skincare label Neutrogena.

Braving cool spring temperatures, Seal and another TV presenter, Jason Dundas, waved at the cameras underwater and tried to look glamorous.

Later, Dundas stood shivering in a dripping wet suit as a team of photographers took pictures of the event.

"It's fairly hard to look glamorous under water. We had to get specialist make up that doesn't run, said the official event photographer Daniel Smith.

"The hair and the hands can go everywhere, the success rate is less, so you just take more pictures."

The tank which measured nearly 10m long and a few meters wide was heated to 23 degrees to try and keep the models warm.

Ever wonder how beautiful people with professional stylists and clothes by any designer they want still seem to flub it up so badly? I do too!

My last poll [How much does celebrity fashion influence your own fashion style?] prompted me for this particular post. I was amused looking at the results that showed people might just wear something without thinking what serious damage it could do!!

Not all celebrities are “IN” In fashion Industry.. Not all have taste in fashion...Some just wear those because they have access to the world's best designer clothing products (for free,) and a team of makeup artist and stylish (for free) but does doesn't mean Hollywood Celebrities are infallible when in comes to their fashion taste..Here's some Hollywood Celebs having fashion disasters..

Hey eva! Are you Okay? We understand if you may be expressing your wild side, but a leopard maxi dress with billowy sleeves is just too much of a good thing for you.

Nope, your eyes do not deceive you (although they may well be bleeding if you've been looking at this picture for any length at all). That's Scarlett Johansson, and yes, that's a boiler suit she's wearing, and ohmygod, there are no words.

"Moon boots" I believe they're called. Well, whatever - the fact is that you're not on the moon, Paris, and you're not even in Aspen or Val d'Isere, or some other ski resport where these would be even just a tad more acceptable. No, Paris, you're in LA, and this? This is not on young lady.

She's a project: a lovely young girl, perfect raw material, who just so happens to dress exactly like my mother did in the 80s. (Actually, scratch that: my mother is way more stylish than Katie Holmes. I mean, what, does she have that freaky premature ageing disease or something? No? Then why is she permanently dressed like someone's maiden aunt, in frumpy, shapeless clothes that do absolutely nothing for her? WHY? )

The thing that sucks about this picture the most? She was out with Victoria Beckham and J.Lo at the time. GOD...

Oh, holy hell, Beyonce, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...What makes it worse? It's the pose, Beyonce, the pose. Why did you do it to yourself?

Oh Jodie, Jodie, you make our job too easy here... Oh, and for the readers who perhaps aren't familiar with Jodie Marsh, I just want to point out that Jodie is not black. She's white. That be fake tan...

Behold the under-cleavage - the cleavage that comes when your bikini top is a couple of sizes too small, and the reason why you should always make sure you jump around the changing room a few times and wave your hands in the air (like ya just don't care, folks!) when you're trying on a new swimsuit. If you fail to follow these steps, why, you could end up looking like Heather Locklear - or, more specifically, like Heather Locklear's boobs, which, as you can see, are a two-pater - one part below the bikini, one part above. Don't try it at home, kids...

Clearly the pole dancing part of her personality was the dominant part on Friday night, when she chose to enter the BB house wearing this little pink dress - with "little" being the operative word. Either that or there were no mirrors wherever she was getting ready for the show.

In this picture, Keira looks like someone stuck a woman's head on a little boy's body. It's actually pretty disturbing, in an "I can't stop looking at it" kind of way. And I think it's time to sack the stylist, Keira...

THIS is the woman fashion editors all over the land would have us believe is a "real" woman with a "quirky sense of style".

Now, I know it was Halloween and all, but most of us still try to wear something that's just a little bit flattering - or that at the very least isn't split from neck to crotch, and teamed with some dodgy pink animal print and fishnets. Not Britney, though. No.

I'd like to think Julia Roberts was paid to wear this outfit - and particularly these shoes - to whatever awards event this was. I know it's hard to imagine who, in their right mind, would pay her to wear it (and, more importantly, WHY), but it's even harder to imagine her looking in the mirror that night and thinking, "Yup, this is one hawt red carpet look, lookin' good!"

Then again, there's just a chance that Julia here thinks she's so gorgeous she can get away with wearing ANYTHING - even a frumpy old house dress from the 30s and these cloddhopper shoes.

Oh Lord, is that whole "neon" thing still going on? We've been trying hard to pretend it wasn't happening!!

In my last post I talked about the 6 Primary Body Types & Clothing Tips. Now that we all know what category we belong to, without further ado, lets find clothes for our own unique shape.

All female body types have their own unique attributes, and with style and clothing, knowing how to dress for your body type will let you have fun with your wardrobe so that you can flatter your body shape and bring out your best features.

For Round or Apple body shape

Show off your legs! Wear an A-line skirt to add emphasis to your waistline.

Do not wear tops that feature a lot of busy detail, like ruffles, rouching or other embellishments.

Anything that clings to your stomach is a no-no; therefore, shirts with a lot of Lycra are out!

With tops, choose turtlenecks, boatnecks, or shirts with collars. Knits and woven stretch fabrics are best for your body type

The best jeans for your body type are ones with front and back pockets. These will help disguise a rounder middle area while defining your curves. But avoid pants with pleats, and choose a flatter front instead

Try to avoid tops with puffy sleeves, or overly baggy clothing. Slim skirts and tight clothes should also be avoided, since they will only emphasize a slimmer lower body half and create the illusion of imbalance.

Great accessories contribute to a stylish look, helping to pull it all together.

For Inverted triangle body shape

Your main style aim should be to create the illusion of the perfect hourglass body shape by balancing your lower body to your upper body and to draw attention away from your upper body.

For Hour glass body shape

If you have an Hourglass shape, you are in luck. This body shape is the most compatible with most of the latest fashion trends. You pretty much look great in all styles. However, you do have to be careful of some fashion choices. Because you are equally proportional on both the top and bottom of your body, it is important that you do not choose clothing that hides your well-defined waistline. Boxy, tailored jackets can be worn, however, they should hit at the waist. Longer, boxy tops can make an hourglass figure look wider. Instead, accentuate your waist with wide belts and garments that cinch in at the waist. As a fuller figured woman, try to stay away from very busy prints and very tight garments. You also don't want to over-layer your clothing; too many layers will make you look bulky. Overall, though, as long as you clothing choices still show that fabulous hourglass figure, you can be sure that you will be strutting down the street looking your best.

For the Pear shape

Dressing pear shaped women involves balancing a slender neck, narrow shoulders, and a small bust with a shapely waist, generous hips, and full thighs. Your best assets are your waistline, delicate upper body, shoulders and arms, so try to accentuate these features when dressing for your body type.

Look for strapless or sleeveless dresses to play up the arms and shoulders. Or look for empire waistlines and dresses that begin to flare at the hips

Choose flowing fabrics, especially when it comes to pants, and remember that straight skirts are ideal for your body shape

Wear semi-fitted tops with square or cowl necklines to broaden narrow shoulders

Avoid tops that are too loose or too tight and make you seem out of proportion. When looking for a blazer or jacket, make sure the bottom does not meet the widest part of your hips. Lastly, avoid straight dresses that tend to tighten at the hips; this will only accentuate them.

For the Straight body

The straight body type features an upper and lower body half that are equal in width. If you gained a few pounds, they would most likely be equally distributed throughout the body, instead of going straight to your curves.

Choose tops with necklines that fall below the collarbone to elongate the upper body and neck

Look for a longer suit jacket that will help lengthen the torso

Skirts and pants with details can broaden the lower half of the body, while shirts with pockets on the bustline will emphasize the area

Try to avoid belts or pleated fabrics at the waistline. These can make the area look thick instead of narrowing the waist.

For the Diamond shaped body

The greatest Diamond Figure’s assets are: Proportionate face, neck, and bust, Balanced thighs, Shapely legs and Great arms

To flatter a diamond body shape, you should wear clothing that will take the eye off the waist and make the shoulder area appear wider - shoulder pads, for example, and horizontal necklines.

High collars shortens necks.
Tight tops with short sleeves and breast pocket is detracting from your figure. Shoes with straps shortens your legs. The torso can be shortened or narrowed with seam lines, belts, bows, and collars.
A short necklace can shorten your neck.
A scarf or belt that hangs down toward the legs will make the legs appear longer. Knitted texture, lace, floras, prints, and plaids can assist in creating an illusion. T
hicker vertical lines in plaids lengthens and slims.
Wear a larger print where you want people to look and smaller print where you do not want them to look.
An all over print can camouflage figure problems, but prints here and there can create a fuller you.

How to dress for your body type

One of the biggest problems women face is that they do not know how to properly dress for their body types. There is always something that we, as women, do not like about our bodies, but if you know how to correctly address your “trouble” areas, then your confidence will increase and your inner beauty and personality will come shining through.

There are six different body types: round, inverted triangle, hourglass, pear, diamond, and straight. While many in fashion industry today have replaced the six different categories with two terms, “bottom-” or “top” heavy, as a woman I think it is important to know how to solve all problems, as everything is interchangeable.

So let me first start out by explaining the terms “bottom-” and “top-” heavy. If you are bottom-heavy, it simply means that your hips are wider than your shoulders and that your thighs are round (this is also known as the pear shape).

If you are top-heavy then you have larger breasts, with narrower hips, and slimmer legs (this is also known as the round shape). There are many different ways to address these problems, but by knowing which one of the six body types you are, you can employ a few visual tricks to hide what you do not like, put together outfits that complement your shape best and learn how to develop your wardrobe.

This is exactly what every woman needs as they put away their winter clothes and re-evaluate their wardrobe for spring and summer!

Buy clothes not as a reason for necessity, but as an expression of wanting to display artistry. With this in mind you will be able to spend wisely, avoid buying anything and everything, and also make a desirable impression.

Buy clothes that are a little loose rather than a little too tight. Too tight an outfit makes you look heavier.

Note: E ven the most carefully chosen clothing won't do a thing to make you feel or look good unless it fits you properly.

Resist the temptation to buy a dream clothes just because you're able to fit into it if the size is smaller than you normally wear. It will make you look and feel uncomfortable.

Don't buy a jacket even if it is perfectly tailored if the sleeves are too long. The sleeve should be just long enough to cover the top of the wristbone. Unless you want the look of a baggy, prefer a fitted jacket. It looks better in any occassion. Check the sleeve length carefully in a full-length mirror.

When you're not sure of what to buy for the evening, remember that there is a difference between daytime and evening clothing.

Daytime clothes are more casual and sporty while evening are more formal, dressy and delicate. Black is the basic color for evening and lighter shades are the basic colors for daytime.

Remember that artificial lights tend to wash out cosmetic colors so wear a little more to compensate less lighting.

Wear make-up everytime you wear black to ensure proper look. Red and hot pink for lips and cheeks are the basic tones for the evening. For the eyes, dark tones are better for many occassions at night.

Clothing can help you determine where you are most ashamed of in your appearance. Clothing can also help you show that portion of your body you wish to emphasize. These makes clothing a personal choice and it is your responsibility to know exactly what to buy. It's easy enough just to buy clothes, but be aware that merchandisers know "sales talks" as well. It's ups to you to judge if it's something you need for any particular reason.

BONUS TIP

How often have you bought some clothing item, and gotten home only to find that the seam is torn, or there's a snag in the fabric? Then you have to go back to the store to either exchange or return it, or even worse, if it can't be returned, then you have to pay to get it fixed...IF it's possible to fix.

So get into the habit of checking your clothing item carefully once you have selected it for purchase. Hold it up and look for makeup (esp. around the neck), dirt (especially near the floor), other stains, snags, or other marks on all sides. It is best to do this while you are trying it on, if possible (but don't forget to check the back). Then take a close look at the stitching...the seams, the hems, buttons, any decorative stitching/beading.

This is especially important for things like formal dresses where most sales are final (due to the sad practice of some girls trying to return dresses after they have worn them). If you find a problem, then try to find the same item without damage. If you can't find one and REALLY want the item anyway, try to determine if you think the item can be washed or fixed, but still point out the damage and ask for a discount.

In the end, even if you're mesmerized with something you see and like, and can't think straight, and your old self is getting the better of you, and you forget everything you have just learned- worry not. Just ask yourself these 6 simple questions and they'll get you right on track :

1. Does the clothes you are buying do what it should? (Does it work well with your broad shoulder?)
2. Is the style up-to-date?
3. Does it complement the rest of your wardrobe? (ie. separates or accessories)?
4. Does it complement your skin tone and hair color?
5. Is it a quality outfit?

6. Is it worth your money?

Summer reminds you of sweat, heat and a weather when it's very difficult to look fresh and chic. Summer is a season of fizzled hair, wrinkled clothes and bad make-up. Well if only it would be possible to stay at home and take care of your skin and hair. But that's not possible. So here we are bringing you tips to take that special care during summer to keep you looking fresh at all times without too much of effort.

Follow the simple rules and summer will no longer be hot and sultry:

Use The Right Fabrics
The right fabric will make you feel good and cool in summer season. Synthetics, like polyester and rayon, do not breathe hence should not be worn. Natural fabrics do. Think cotton, linen and silk. Of course, these are the ones that need the most ironing. Still go for it. Don't worry about the wrinkled look! It's comfortable, casual (which summer fashion is all about) and you'll feel so much cooler.

Wear Loose Clothing
This summer loose clothing should be 'in' and body hugging clothes should be 'out'. Looser clothes are a better bet in the hottest months because your skin needs to breathe and if you wear tight fitted clothes you will feel hotter. It's logical, isn't it? Wear the free flowing knee-length skirt. It's very comfortable in summer. If pants you have to wear then let it be baggy or the loose fitting pants. But trust us, skirts are cooler.

Go Sleeveless
Sleeveless has been a fashion trend for years, even on brides. Sleeveless looks hip and stylish. It's a more flattering look than short sleeves or mega sleeves. If you're uncomfortable going sleeveless or if it's wrong for your workplace, then go with three-quarter length sleeves. They're classy and still cooler. However don't forget to apply sunscreen while going out in the sun.

Cover Your Head
Use hats or umbrellas coz you need them to cover your head and face from the uv-rays. Straw hats or baseball caps work the best. The idea is to keep the sun out of your eyes and off your face. Choose a hat or an umbrella that accentuates your outfit and mood. Girl, you are gonna rock the town this summer.

Hair
If it's time for a new look, cut it shorter and see how much cooler you'll feel! If you don't want to cut it, wear it up off your neck and off your face. Even tucking it behind your ears makes your head feel cooler!

No Jewelry Please
Avoid wearing jewelry in the summer. The less jewelry you wear, the cooler you'll feel. Accessories yourself with beautiful purses, shoes, scarf's etc.

Make-up
The less make-up you use, the better for your skin. Let your skin breathe during summer. Full face make-up is not in style any more (no matter what your age). Use a tinted moisturizer rather than a regular foundation. It will even out your skin tone and is so much lighter. If you want to wear foundation, use a non-mattifying make-up. It's less oily and keeps your face fresh. Wear as little powder as possible. Try just using it in the "t-zone" that might get a little oily. Please apply sunscreen which is an absolute must-haves in summer.

Fragrance
Keep your summer fragrance light and fresh. Don't use heavy perfumes as it tends to make you weary and dull. You can always go back to your regular or a heavier perfume at first frost.

Perhaps I'm a little late to the party on this trend, and maybe you're going to think "Jeesh, that was so five seasons ago, what's wrong with this girl?" I have, I must admit, a bit of a jewelry addiction. I’m like a cat with a little bell around my neck - my friends can always tell exactly where I am at any given time due to excessive charms and bangles jingle jangling. Looking your best doesn't have to cost alot of money. Here are some frugal tips and freebies to keep you looking your best.

Dry Hand Tips: Dry skin plagues most of us, especially in the winter time. If you are suffering from dry skin, use a hydrating lotion on your hands. You should also apply lotion and wear plastic gloves when washing dishes. The warmth of the water will help the lotion to absorb better, leaving your hands soft and supple.

Bath Tips: In ancient civilizations, they used milk in their bath water to soften their skin. You can try this trick, too. Use powdered milk in your bath and see if your skin feels any different. To exfoliate your skin, use a mixture of grapefruit and salt. This will remove dead skin cells and clean the pores.

Face Care: Beauty products today, even those that say they are all-natural, contain preservatives. The skin on your face is far too delicate for the harsh additives in many of these products. Instead, wet your face with warm water and apply honey. As a facial exfoliant, try raw sugar. Gently rub it in until it dissolves and then rinse.

Keep a bottle of witch hazel under your bathroom sink. It is a natural toner for the skin and costs less than the name brands you find in stores. A sliced cucumber from the fridge will reduce the swelling of puffy eyes in the morning. Instead of expensive makeup removers, use olive oil and a cotton ball.

Hair Care: Chemicals can build up in the hair from thermal styling, hair sprays, and everyday activity. Mayonnaise has long been touted as a natural hair and scalp conditioner. Or try using pure natural olive oil on your hair for shine and to de-frizz your mane.

After you shampoo and rinse your hair, pour a cupful of diluted vinegar through your hair. Rinse thoroughly. Apply conditioner and rinse. Be careful not to get the vinegar in your eyes!
The best beauty tip is drinking plenty of water. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water every day flushes out your system. It is like an internal shower for your body. Water removes impurities and gives a natural glow to your skin.
